National Day

The Consulate, in collaboration with the Luxembourg American Chamber of Commerce (LACC), organized the reception for the national holiday. The evening began in the cul-de-sac in front of the Consulate with Luxembourgish, American & European national anthems sung by Mr. Aaron Theno, (American Luxembourgish), followed by a speech by the Consul General and the appearance of a mascot! Among the 130 guests were community members, UN officials, and people from the business world. On the menu: sausage BBQ, mini-burgers, salads, Luxembourgish beers and wines. For the first time: cocktails made with whiskey and gin from the Grand Duchy! Very well received! We especially thank Mr. Chip Kunde, Senior VP of Institutional Affairs at Ferrero, who organized and personally ran a tasting booth for their latest novelty! Nutella Peanut, launched in the United States as the brand’s first new flavor in over 60 years, combining the iconic chocolate-hazelnut flavor with roasted peanuts. It is also Nutella's first dairy-free offering in North America.
