Opening for the duo exhibition "exuviae", with Luxembourg artist Marie Audrey Ramirez

On June 13, at an art gallery in Chinatown, Consul General in New York Luc Decker attended the opening of the duo exhibition "exuviae," created by Luxembourgish artist Marie Audrey Ramirez and Danish artist Stine Déjà.

The exhibition blends enigmatic figures with post-anthropocentric questions, where human centrality dissolves under ecological pressure and technological acceleration. Ramirez's globular, insectoid creatures—some recognizably cute, others completely unclassifiable—suggest an anthropomorphic presence. While possessing a strong cryptid energy, these creatures also echo real biological organisms: the indestructible tardigrades, capable of suspending their metabolism for years and surviving in space; or Demodex mites—tiny worm-like beings buried in our pores and eyelashes. The guests toasted with Luxembourg white wine.
