Arts Talk with the Recipients of the Edward Steichen Award 2024
More than forty Luxembourgers and friends of the Grand Duchy were present to hear Clio Van Aerde (Luxembourg) and Marianne Villière (France) describe their creative processes. The Edward Steichen Prize has two categories, each offering an artist residency at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP-NY) in Brooklyn, a renowned contemporary art center that hosts artists and curators from around the world. The Edward Steichen Prize was established in 2011. It is fully funded by the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, as part of its ongoing commitment to Luxembourgish artists abroad. At the ISCP, each artist has a private studio and receives a monthly stipend of USD 4,000. Artists are invited to participate in various activities, including meetings with critics, excursions, exhibitions, and open studio events. This prize is open to young visual artists aged 25 to 35.
