Fazio, National Officer of The Battle of the Bulge Association in presence of Veterans Carmine “Buzz” Burzamato and Joe Reilly, and held at Wolfes Pond Park, Chester Ave / Cornelia Avenue – Staten Island, NY.

    It is with deep sadness that the Consulate of Luxembourg in New York shares the news of the passing of His Royal Highness Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the age of 98.

    A period of national mourning will be observed until Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 6.00pm

    The register of condolences which opened for signature at the Consulate General (17 Beekman Place, New York, NY 10022)  from April 29th to May 2nd, 2019 is extended until Friday, May 3rd  from 10am to 4pm.

  • European Elections 2019 Statement 15/02/19

    All voters on the electoral roll elect 6 Luxembourgish members to the European Parliament (EP) every 5 years.

    Voting in the European elections is mandatory for all registered voters , regardless of their nationality (Luxembourg or of another EU Member State). Voters may not be represented by proxy.

    A postal voting system has been put in place for all voters in order to prevent abstention.

    The Luxemburg population elects every five years the 60 deputies who make up the Chamber of Deputies (the national Parliament). The general election take place by rights every five years. Deputies are elected directly by the nation, without intermediaries, by universal suffrage.

    Voting is mandatory for all registered voters on the electoral roll.
