CD Release « Capturing This Moment »

“Michel Reis has a unique jazz piano sound, and

his place in the realm of jazz pianists is assured.”

Lee Prosser – Jazzreview

Michel Reis, worldwide acclaimed Luxembourg pianist/composer, releases his fifth album in the USA accompanied by Aaron Kruziki (reeds) ; Eddy Khaimovich (bass) ; and Jonas Burgwinkel (drums).

This new album follows a central theme. The compositions have a romantic flair allowing the melancholic melodies to permeate and progress into jazz. Reis compares his new compositions compiled in this CD to the work of photographers possessing the talent of ‘capturing the moment’.

Michel Reis earned his Master’s in piano jazz and compositions at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He studied and shared the stage with internationally known musicians including Dave Holland, Joe Lovano, and Esperanza Spalding.  Reis has received raving reviews from Jazzreview, Downbeat, and more, and has been interviewed and played live on the French radio “France Inter” in their Summertime segment.

Michel Reis lives between New York and Europe, constantly on tour.
