The Circle Theater of New York and the Théâtre National du Luxembourg present an adaptation of Hansel & Gretel entitled “TRAIL OF CRUMBS: A SERIAL DYSTOPIA FOR HANSEL AND GRETEL”. This unique fairytale is informed by recurring conflicts that lead to the indoctrination of children into violent factions. This ensemble-devised adventure will explore the cycle of events that have damned children to violence and acts of injustice throughout time”.  Co-created and co-produced by Director Anne Simon and actor Isaac Bush, the cast also include Carly Blane, Sloan Bradford (also co-productor); Scott Freeman, and Caitlin Goldie. Musical compositions by cellist Anthime Miller.
Anne Simon studied Drama and Theater at the Royal Holloway, University of London. She soon becomes director’s assistant and deputy stage manager at the Théâtre National du Luxembourg. In 2007, she won a competition for young directors (Champ Libre). Since then, she has directed about thirty plays including in Germany and Spain. In 2013, she wrote and directed her first short film D. a reproduction.
Isaac Bush is the co-founder and Artistic Director of the ensemble Circle Theater of New York (CTNY). He holds an MA from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Bush’s vision for CTNY has fuelled the company since 2010 with credits that include Woyzeck, Gaps, The Mountain, and the ongoing Brooklyn LIVE ART Market. As an actor, his NYC credits include Much Ado, Whisky Jack, etc. and internationally Killer Joe, King Lear, The Relapse. For more information, please visit:
