JEROME GOLDSCHMIDT, Luxembourg percussionist

The Quartet includes percussionist Jérôme Goldschmidt, native of Luxembourg/resident for more than 20 years in New York.  Passionate about Latin rhythms, he has played with a variety of groups, including the Orchestra of Tito Puente, Oscar Fernandez, Eddie Palmieri, the Big Band Afro-Cuban of Chico O'Farrill, and more. Before moving to the United States, he was soloist in the Stuttgart Chamber Music Orchestra and the Philharmonic of Württemberg.

For two decades, Jérôme Goldschmidt has shared the stage with the violinist/composer/bandleader Gregor Huebner, a native of Germany/New York resident. In 2004, the Consulate General of Luxembourg celebrated their tenth year anniversary of musical collaboration, organizing a concert in the Luxembourg House. Ten years later, while Gregor Huebner officially created his new group "El Violin Latino" and his debut album of the same name, the Consulate General of the Luxembourg celebrated the event by organizing a concert at Something Jazz Club. In 2016, upon return of their European tour in Germany and Luxembourg, the Consulate General of Germany requested the participation of the Consulate General of Luxembourg to celebrate the release of their second album "El Violin Latino-No.2" on their premises. Since then, the Quartet has performed in New York at Bargemusic, the Zinc, the Kitano Jazz Club, Club Bonafide, and has added two additional European tours.

The other two members of the Quartet are German pianist Klaus Muller and Brazilian bassist Itaiguara Brandao, both New York residents for many years and quite known on the New York scene.
