The Consulate General of Luxembourg announces the last performance of the USA tour ad CD release of “Twelve” by the AMINA FIGAROVA SEXTET with Amina Figarova, band leader/pianist/composer, native of Azerbaijan ; Bart Platteau, flutes, native of Belgium ; as well as Ernie Hammes, trumpeter, native of Luxembourg. A Classical soloist as well as a jazz player/composer, he has toured extensively with the internationally famous big band leader Maynard Ferguson. In 2007, he was casted for the musical documentary “Retour à Gorée”, a movie about slavery and jazz, and was recorded with Youssou D’Nour and other jazz artists.
