GovSat-1 successfully launched!

On January 31, 2018 at 4:25pm EST, the first Luxembourg satellite was launched on a SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida, in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Guillaume and Crown Princess Stephanie of Luxembourg; H.E. Mr. Xavier Bettel, Luxembourg Prime Minister; and H.E. Mr. Etienne Schneider, Luxembourg Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Economy and Minister of Defense.

GovSat-1 is a public-private joint venture between the Luxembourg Government and SES, the Luxembourg-based world leading satellite operator.
