Toxic Gallery was a pioneer in the contemporary art world. The gallery opened its doors in Luxembourg in 1995 to present a new generation of artists. It pursued its approach to support young talents as well as confirmed, national and international artists, without confining itself with only one form of artistic expression. Toxic Gallery offers all year round exhibitions representing an eclectic mix of artists working in contemporary painting, drawing, video, installation, photography and sculpture. The Gallery also represents the works of outsider or visionary artists. Toxic Gallery often organizes in its space group shows where it associates artists of varied horizons and with diverse practices. It does not content itself with presenting an accumulation of pieces or personalities but it establishes a coherent and interactive scenography to cause a significant dialog between different artists. Toxic Gallery also participates in international contemporary art fairs. For more information, please visit: www.galerietoxic.com
The Outsider Art Fair was the first to give a voice to talented artists outside the mainstream. Today the fair still showcases those who create work that is "visionary, intuitive, primitive and self-taught in nature"—and while the fair has moved around over the years, many of its original dealers are still going strong.
