Gregor Huebner, Grammy/Nominated Violinist & Pianist, always had a passion for Latin music. He has been a member of tango groups, jazz formations and much more. His excellent violin performances can be heard on many albums, including solo projects. Gregor’s first recording project under the name “El Violin Latino” was released in 2011 to rave reviews in Europe as well as in the USA, in publications including the Wall Street Journal. ‘El Violin Latino-No.2” was released in the Spring of 2016 during the Quartet’s European Tour in Germany and in Luxembourg. “El Violin Latino-No.3” to be released this Fall. www.gregorhuebner.com
Jérôme Goldschmidt is an established musician/percussion player. He moved to New York in 1996 and became a faculty member of the Harbor Performing Arts Center, recognized as one of the premier teaching institutions in the country of Afro-Carribean culture. He has played with a variety of diverse groups, including Tito Puente Orchestra, Mong Santamaria, Chico O’Farrill’s Afro-Cuban Big Band, Eddie Palmieri, Ray Vega Sextet, Oscar Hernandez, to name a few. He was soloist with Stuttgarter Chamber Music Orchestra, the Wurttembergische Philharmonie. He has been playing with German-born/New York City resident violinist bandleader/composer Gregor Huebner for over a decade including at the Luxembourg Consulate. In 2014, the Consulate General of Luxembourg presented the newly created Huebner’s El Violin Latino Quartet at Something Jazz Club and April 2016, the Luxembourg and German Consulates teamed up to organize an evening for the Quartet at the German Consulate General.
