Return World Tour: A Journey Between Europe and Latin America
Duo Rosa presents a live performance of its first album Return (Etcetera Records). The program is a musical journey passing through Luxembourg, France, Spain, and Latin America, paying homage to composers of the Old and New Worlds who shared influences and had ties with one another.
The performance features French mélodie and Spanish-language canción art song by a wide array of composers including Debussy, Fauré, Duparc, Granados, Falla, Rodrigo, Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos, Rafael Solano, Luis Rivera, Grever, Lecuona, and more, as well as a piece entitled “There and Back (Aller-retour)” by Luxembourg composer Camille Kerger specifically written for Duo Rosa’s Return World Tour and its first album.
Duo Rosa’s Return World Tour started at the Philharmonie of Luxembourg in November 2016 and was then presented at La Monnaie in Belgium, and Ateneo de Madrid, among others. It will conclude on April 21st in Santo Domingo’s Palacio de Bellas Artes in the Dominican Republic.
