3D tours: the museum at your fingertips

In times of confinement, treat yourself to an immersive 3D visit allowing you to venture through the museum, explore the thematic routes but above all to visit our temporary exhibitions (on 17th century Spanish baroque art , on the centenary of universal suffrage and the photographic universe Carla van Puttelaar ).
Scanned using cutting-edge technologies, the museum is thus accessible through an exciting digital experience. Aware of the complexity of its building and anxious to illustrate the extent of its rooms as well as the diversity of its temporary exhibitions as well as the richness of its collections, the National Museum of History and Art offers on its website a "3D Visits" tab allowing a detailed exploration of the interior of its building and especially of the different routes: Archeology , Decorative and popular arts , Medal cabinet , Fine Arts ( Ancient Art / Modern and Contemporary Art / Art in Luxembourg ).
Unlike simple shots of the exhibition halls, the 3D model not only makes it possible to better understand the architecture of the building but also to give visitors an immersive experience encouraging them to discover the places. The 3D models of the MNHA are now easily searchable on smartphones and tablets and can also be explored in Virtual Reality using VR-goggles like the Google Cardboard or the Occulus Gear VR.
The museumsmile.lu portal links to museums in the capital also offering virtual tours.
